Malatya is the most important city where dried apricots are grown in Turkey.
Apricots are a highly nutritious food and fiber source, important for the digestive system. It provides a feeling of satiety all day long, increases red blood cell production. It is also very important for cardiovascular health due to its high potassium content and can help lower high blood pressure. Apricots are also rich in vitamins A and C and provide many benefits for overall health and wellness.
Sulfur is an indispensable preservative today. Sulfured apricots are obtained by sulphuring fresh apricots with sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas in closed chambers called “smoke chamber”. With this process, we preserve the color of dried apricots. It also extends the shelf life and prevents infestation. Of course, we do this by adjusting the sulfur rate and humidity rate within the framework of standards. It is seen that sulphurous apricots are very protective against the corona virus and are useful in oral hygiene.

Sun Dried apricots are made by drying the ripe apricots in direct sunlight without being subjected to any chemical treatment after harvesting. During this process, we realize how the apricot should be more delicious and high quality, with our experience and knowledge gained over the years.
First, the apricots are laid out on the exhibition area and allowed to dry in sunlight. Dried apricots get its name from this process. The harvesting time is carried out at the right time with our experience. The dried apricots are then removed from the seed. This process is called "pitting" or "making booties". After this process is done, apricots are laid in the greenhouse again and dried. When the apricots reach the desired dryness, they are collected and ready to be sent to our customers.
